Wheels and Wings an autobiography of Late Dr.K.C.G.Verghese was released on June 19 2006, by Hon'ble Union Minister for Civil Aviation Shri. Praful Patel at a grand function held at Hotel Royal Le Meridian in the presence of distinguished educationists, leaders from various walks of life who paid glorious tributes to Dr.K.C.G.Verghese one of the earliest persons to set up self financing engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu and Founder Chairman of Hindustan Group of Institutions.
The First Copy of the autobiography was received by the Chief Guest his Excellency R.L.Bhatia, Governor of Kerala from the Hon'ble Union Minister for Civil Aviation Shri.Praful Patel.
Shri.Praful Patel was commenting during his speach that Dr.Verghese was perhaps too ahead of time for our country. At Present the airline sector needs a large number of engineers, pilots, ground staff and other
technical staff but KCG as he is popularly known had already started a school to rollout trained hands said the Minister.
The Union Minister of State for Statistics and Programme implementation Shri.G.K.Vasan on unveiling the portrait of Dr.K.C.G.Verghese, said Dr.K.C.G.Verghese is a pioneer in Aviation Industry and a great Visionary.

The speakers recalled that Dr.Verghese was one of the Front runners of private airline sector in the country, launching Air Asiatic in the early 90s.

Group of Institutions who thanked all the dignitaries for sparing their valued time.The function concluded with an indelible memory and with the National Anthem.
