Hindustan College of Arts & Science has collaborative educational arrangements with the British Institute of Technology & E - Commerce

Chennai, May 2009 :
Hindustan College of Arts & Science (HCAS) and BITE today announced a special offer of an array of cutting-edge courses in Management & Technology with greater flexibility to address the needs of industry, besides enabling the students gain significant advantage in

becoming ‘readily employable' in today's competitive industry. This joint venture will help the “common man”, through considerable subsidies in tuition fess, besides acquiring a foreign degree with the advantage of cutting-edge technologies.
Courses on offer include MBA in Innovative Management with specialization in disciplines such as Finance, Accounting, Marketing and HR : M.Sc. in Innovative Technology with specialization in Medical, Nano­ Bio-informatics, Security, Data Mining, Forensic, Games, Communications, Bio-metrics, Artificial Intelligence and Energy.

Some of the new study modules included here are: Artificial Intelligence, E-forensics, E-Nano, E-bio and Research dissertation specialization. BITE also offers scholarships upto 30% of the tuition fees to those eligible for PG programmes in business administration, science and nano technology through their association with HCAS.

In this connection, Janet Foxcroft, Business Development Manager, BITE, stated: “Those enrolling in the HCAS will profit from its association with such prestigious educational and business institutions such as the University of East London , Coventry University , Edexcel, BAC, Oracle and Sun Microsystems. Successful completion of graduate, post-graduate or post-graduate diploma studies at the BITE qualifies the student for permission to stay and work in the UK for two years”.

Scholarships

BITE & HCAS are jointly offering a special scholarship were the student will receive up to 30% subsidy on the tuition fees. This fee is applicable only to students pursing master's degree programmes and the subsidy is Rupees 5 lakhs approximately. BITE has committed, in addition, a special subsidy for the first 100 students recommended by HCAS for the following programme MSc in Nano technology, MBA in innovative management, MSc in innovative technology for the next in-take in September 2009.

Special Services

Bite Consultancy ( Student Registration Consultants wing of BITE) & HCAS offer personalised service assistance to students with regard to decision to study abroad, from arranging student loans (through special arrangements with banks) and also an accredited center for tutoring and support services for IELTS/GMAT/TOEFL and GRE. Bite Consultancy will also arrange for visa guidance, accommodation, air port pick up, tips on traveling to London , and even flight tickets if so required.

Special counseling sessions will be held on 20 th , 21 st and 22 nd May 2009 for Under graduate and Post-graduate courses, at the given address, for in-take in Sept 2009 :

Contract Between

British Institute of Technology and E-Commerce (BITE)
and
Hindustan College of Arts & Science (HCAS)

This contract should be viewed as an Appendix of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two Institutions which was signed in 2009, and a copy of the same is attached.
The contract is based on proposals sent to the HindustanCollege of Arts & Science, on 24th November 2009, details of which are mentioned below:
The target date for the commencement of the following programs is mentioned therewith, and the details of the contract set out below are based on the B.Sc. Technology and E-commerce programmes previously sent to HCAS. Other courses may be included, if desired, and charges will follow the similar pattern.

Under this condition each Institution (HCAS & BITE) will have the following details:

Option 01:

  • The first batch of students will formally register with HCAS for regular programme in B.Sc. Technology and E-commerce (03 year program; First two years in HCAS and the Third Year in BITE) offered by BITE, and validated by the University of East London. The First batch of students will register for the same course for the regular Fall/Autumn batch. If necessary, an additional intake in the month of January can be considered, based on the market demand.
Option 02:
  • The students of HCAS who have completed a Three Year Degree Programme under the University of Madras are eligible to enroll in the Final Year Degree Programme with BITE in UK. The Degree for this Programme will be awarded by the University of East London, via BITE, UK. Students can enroll themselves either in the month of January or September.
Option 03:
  • The students of HCAS who have completed a Three Year Under Graduate Degree Programme under the University of Madras are eligible to enroll into the Post Graduate M.Sc. Programme and students with two years of work experience are eligible to enroll into the MBA Programme with BITE in UK. The Degree for this Programme will be awarded by CoventryUniversity, via BITE, UK. Students can enroll themselves either in the month of January or September.
  1. As per the Appendix One, BITE will provide a complete set of educational materials and course content for the above mentioned Option 01 Programme.
  1. BITE will depute a Faculty (free of charge) for one week block tuition for each module of the course offered in Option 01.
  1. BITE will assist students of Option 01 & Option 02, to get work permit while their study-stay in UK.
