Discipline
Various committees are functioning to oversee and maintain discipline on campus, in the buses and in the hostel premises. The campus is free of ragging and other undesirable activities. Students are sternly instructed not to turn out in demeaning attire; any violation is viewed seriously. Smoking, consumption of alcohol, drugs, etc. are strictly prohibited and severe disciplinary action is taken against delinquents.

Mobiles Banned

Students found carrying mobile phones within the academic block forfeit the instrument and action is taken against those students who defy the rules & regulations regarding this.
Students found misusing the mobiles are punished severely.

Ragging
Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Ragging Act 1997 prohibits ragging within or outside any Educational Institution. Ragging includes display of noise, disorderly conduct, teasing, abusing, playing practical jokes, causing hurt to a student, asking a student to do any act or perform something which the student will not in the ordinary course be willing to do.
According to this act, whoever directly or indirectly commits, participates in, abets or propagates “ ragging” inside or outside any educational institution shall be punished by suspension for a term, which may extend to two years and shall also be liable to a fine which may exceed twenty five thousand rupees.
Any student convicted of an offence under section 1 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Ragging Act 1997, is also liable to be dismissed from the college and such student shall not be admitted in any other Educational Institution.

Rules for Hostel Students
  1. A hostel resident will stay in the room allotted to him/her with two or more inmates.
  2. Inmates of each room are jointly responsible for the furniture, electrical and plumbing fittings, etc., and any damage to the hostel property is recoverable from them.
  3. Guests, outsiders, dayscholars are strictly prohibited from entering the hostel premises without prior permission from the warden.
  4. Once a student reserves his/her accomodation and pays the fees for it, he/she should not stay outside the hostel. Students may be expelled from the hostel for violation of rules and misconduct such as theft, ragging, abnormal behaviour, use of drugs and alcohol, indiscipline, non-payment of fees, etc.
  5. A Student expelled on disciplinary grounds shall forfeit his/her fee deposit.
  6. Electronic items usage is prohibited inside the hostel. (Extra charg es will be taken if computer systems are in use within the hostel rooms.)
  7. A laundry is available; students need not wash their clothes themselves.
